We recently got to see Maryam again.
If you remember, a few years back, she lost the use of her legs and lost her father during the war in Iraq. Because of your incredible generosity, we were able to get her a new wheelchair that allowed her to become more mobile and independent.
Now, Maryam is desperately in need of medical attention.
This brave girl has a wound on her foot that is causing almost constant fever and pain. She has been suffering for nearly two years now. Her home is a shanty. It’s in an IDP camp because of ISIS’ presence and she has very few resources.
The last time Maryam heard from her father before ISIS took his life, he told her he loved her and that she was his princess. I think God brought Maryam into our lives so we could tell her she is a princess too.
