With the recent release of “Letter to the American Church” — a film adaptation of the best-selling book by Eric Metaxas — we are calling on our prayer warriors to join the fight for our nation.
The film lays out the parallels between early 1930s Nazi Germany and other totalitarian regimes with what is happening in America today and how the Church has been mostly silent facing this evil.
Here’s how we recommend praying for The Church:
- That leaders would fear God and put Jesus in His rightful place as the head of the Church. Stop compromising and keep the pulpit a holy place of God’s Word.
- Stop seeking growth as the end all, but invest in the lives of each person as though they are living disciples of Jesus Christ.
- Stop accepting the world’s standard and giving into “tolerance;” it’s hurting the influence of the Church.
- That pastors would obey God’s Word, teach the pure Word of God and live it out. Get involved in social issues and don’t back down because it’s not popular — get in the fight. Pay attention to what is going on in your cities/communities.
- Pray for the pastors who have caved in and are doing the enemies bidding. Pray for deep conviction for these church leaders who are misleading their congregation. Pray they will repent and seek God’s face.
- That pastors would tear down the high places of idolatry and remove them from the Church.
This film is a wake-up call to stand up and speak out against the evil that is manifesting in our country. Join us in praying for God to turn our country back to freedom, liberty and Himself. Let it start with us!
